C’est la vie is an animated work by Selmani projected onto a photograph by Bourouissa. A man removes a pebble stuck in his shoe and throws it away. In an in-finite loop the pebble falls back systematically into the photographed shoe. "The pebble in the shoe" is a common metaphoric expression in Algeria.
