Then Monique Frydman spoke to me about her project for the Musée Matisse. She had a large exhibition to prepare for the Museum and wanted to create several screenprinted works specifically for the show, including one-of-a-kind pieces. Opening on March 4, La Couleur tis-sée (Woven color) is, to my knowledge, the first major exhibition in a museum for which screenprinting will have been used as a means of expression.
