The Musée départemental de la Céramique, Lezoux is committed to an inclusive policy of dialogue between people with disabilities and non-disa-bled people since its establishment in 2007.
It received two national prizes in 2015 (Trophées de l’Accessibilité and Prix Patrimoines pour Tous) in recognition of its initiatives.
The establishment, and more specifically the public service department, wished to take a step further by engaging in an experimental art commission project.
To this end, a steering committee, com-prising sighted and visually impaired members, was formed to support the initiative. The Puy-de-Dôme department approached the Ministry of Culture to

– To enable sighted people to feel the sixth sense experienced by blind peo-ple (interaction between the body and space) by inverting the usual adaptation process.
– To get a feel for the modes of perception and sensitivity of the visually impaired to enable disabled and non-disabled peo-ple to engage.
