Nathalie Talec, a French artist and head of workshop at the École nation-ale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris, presents a work of art at the frontiers of science and the imagination guided by Inuit shamanism ‘seeing through closed eyes’, discovering the world in a form of enlightenment.
Various motifs that have featured con-tinuously in the artist’s work for more than thirty years, like the explorer figure tackling unknown territories, or the cold, an abstract and intangible state, which would otherwise be impossible to illus-trate, emerge within the context of aut-ofiction and metaphor, exploration, not of reality, but its representation in the cerebral space.
